Celebrating Earth Day with some of our favourite eco brands 🌎
This week we've been thinking about Earth Day and what we can do to demonstrate our support for environmental protection. For us, sustainability means buying less and buying better, making conscious choices and doing the research on how and where our products are manufactured.

Over the years we've scoured the fashion industry for brands putting sustainability and environmental impact at the heart of their designs, and we've found some pretty good ones! Here are our favourite eco brands we have in store at the moment...

Iconic family brand Victoria has been made in Spain (mostly in La Rioja) for the last 104 years! The shoes are made from natural rubber and 100% organic cotton, also grown in Spain, and much of their new SS21 collection is made from recycled materials.

Quirky eco brand Thought was created with sustainable sourcing at its heart. Think cool, natural clothing made from natural fabrics like bamboo, hemp and organic cotton, cut into honest, simple styles.

Gorgeous Barcelonian brand Yerse's mantra is all about responsibility towards the environment, the producers and their customers. Yerse employ slow fashion production rhythms to weave in conscious decisions at every stage of the manufacturing process. More than 90% of its collections are made with natural fibers and 28% with organic materials.

One of the most durable sandal brands we've ever come across, Birkenstocks are a buy-once and wear-forever type of shoe! A high proportion of the natural materials that they use are from sustainable sources, including cork, natural latex and jute.

Much of San Sebastian-based indi & cold's new SS21 collection is made from recycled polyester - a material created from plastic bottles. Produced in small workshops using artisan techniques, 50% of its production process is based in Europe, mainly in Spain, Italy and Portugal.

Here at Spirit we're committed to our mantra of slow fashion and conscious choices. We're constantly looking to improve our sustainable offering for our customers and we're loving where this journey is taking us! If you have any suggestions for eco brands which you think should be on our radar do get in touch with your ideas - we'd love to hear from you.
